Goodman Mooney Berstein, LLP – New Firm, New Space

IRVINE, Calif. (October 2011) – Orange County based lawyers, Eric Goodman, Amanda Mooney and David Berstein are celebrating the launch of Goodman Mooney, a new firm specializing in intellectual property and business law, with new office space on Irvine Center Drive.

Complete with sprawling views of Orange County, the 3,500-square-foot office on the 11th Floor at 8001 Irvine Center Drive provides ample space to conduct transactions related to trademarks, copyright, trade dress, trade secret, unfair competition, false advertising, new media, corporate and internet law. The firm continues to grow, also bringing on new staff members to support the firm.

With a great deal of experience in the consumer goods sector, the firm represents a number of apparel industry clients, as well as prestige beauty brands, action sports brands and professional athletes.

Goodman, who formerly worked in the action sports industry, and has a diverse background in computers and in sports law, currently focuses on brand and licensing transactions and disputes involving trademarks, copyrights, false advertisement and breach of contract.

“We have a genuine passion for what we do which is why we have such success in advocating for our clients,” Goodman said.

Mooney’s expertise lies within trademark, copyright, new media and internet law, with an emphasis on U.S. and international intellectual property and corporate matters. Amanda has served as outside general counsel to Too Faced Cosmetics, Inc. for a number of years and has been featured in numerous publications on the legal challenges presented by new media and internet law. Amanda also enjoys working with the action sports sector, a field she grew particularly familiar with while handling sponsorships and endorsements for Boost Mobile.

Berstein is a seasoned trial lawyer that has aggressively represented clients in litigation matters for over a decade. Over the years, David has successfully resolved countless contentious matters short of going to trial, resulting in significant savings to his clients while providing them with precious piece of mind.

“I cherish the opportunity to present a client’s case before a judge or jury, but I also recognize it’s often in the client’s best interest to resolve disputes efficiently through alternative dispute resolution means such as mediation,” said David Berstein.

Goodman Mooney is embracing state of the art technology to better serve their cutting edge clients who tend to break down barriers in their own market sectors. “We are thrilled to combine our passion for and knowledge of IP and corporate law with an environment that both appeals to our clients and maximizes our efficiencies,” said Amanda Mooney.

Goodman Mooney clients include Too Faced Cosmetics, Voluspa, champion snowboarders Torstein Horgmo, Andreas Wiig and John Jackson, surfer Kai Barger, and internationally renowned boxing trainer Freddie Roach, owner of Wild Card Boxing Club.
